Reset a User's Password

From time to time a user may forget their password. For security reasons, PayGate does not store passwords and so there is no way to recover a forgotten password.

If a user forgets their password the password can be reset by a PayGate administrator and a new password can be created and supplied to the user.

To reset a user’s password follow these steps.

Log into PayGate Desktop with a admin account
Navigate to Admin > Users > Manage Users
A list of PayGate users will be displayed. Select the user whose password you want to reset by clicking ‘Configure’ next to their username.
Enter a new password into the password box. Ensure the password conforms to the password complexity requirements .
Click ‘Change Password’. The user’s password will change immediately.
