Standard 18 Format

PayGate Desktop can read and import Standard18 files directly. PayGate will only use the imported file to read certain parts of the incoming Standard 18 file such as the payment instructions and payment processing dates. PayGate Desktop always regenerates the file before sending to BACS or Faster Payments.

Creating a Standard 18 Importer.

PayGate Desktop comes with a standard 18 importer already configured and ready to go. You will find it in the list of importers called ‘Standard 18 Importer’. Beyond the name and description there is nothing further to configure for this importer and so in most case the default import should be used.

If required you can create another Standard 18 importer:

From the Admin menu choose ‘Add an Importer’.
From the list of available importer types choose ‘Add a Standard 18 Importer’.
Give the importer a name and (optionally) a description.
Click ‘Save’ to save the importer.

The new importer is now ready to be added to a group.
