Most aspect of a payer's record can be modified after it has been created. This include making adjustments to the collection schedule and the payer's personal details such as their name and address.
An exception is the payer reference. Once the Direct Debit mandate has been lodged with the payer's bank, the reference cannot be changed otherwise the payer's bank would refuse the collection attempt with an ARUDDS code 6.
Editing the Payment Plan
Most aspects of an ongoing payment plan can be modified while the plan is in progress. Editing the schedule or default payment amounts will cause PayGate to recreate the payment schedule. If PayGate detects that the Payer needs an advance notice message (under the rules of the Direct Debit scheme) then a new message will be created and added to the outbound message queue.
