Overview

The createPayer function is a one-stop-shop for creating new direct debit payers and includes the following

• Adds a new payer to an existing PayGate group.
• Create a schedule of payments
• Create the correct AUDDIS messages and adds them to the next DDI submission
• Creates payer messaging in either letter or email format as required by the UK Direct Debit Scheme rules.

The new function is ideally suited for use on a 3rd party website or mobile app for collecting new payer details and adding them to a Direct Debit collection process.

Once the payer is created using the API, the management of the payers and submission to BACS is handled in PayGate as per normal DDMS operation.  I.e. the API is only for the initial creation of a payer.
